Since Revell no longer continued the series of truck oldies after the Krupp Titan, I was able to sell all of my image and data material, including all drawings, to Minichamps. With this data, the Aachen company developed all the truck oldies that I had suggested for Revell, except for the Faun L8 and Kaelble K832, these two didn’t come. All DieCast models were created in 1:43 and 1:18 scale.

Mercedes-Benz L 6600, built in 1952 with a long wheelbase of 5200 mm, 6 cyl. OM 315 in-line diesel engine with 145 hp, ZF six-speed gearbox, top speed 70 km/h, unladen weight 7030 kg, vehicle length 9280 mm. Minichamps did not sell this oldie truck in 1:43 scale, but in 1:18.

When I was at Minichamps in Aachen in 2012 and met Mr. Lang, we talked about a model project that he wanted to do. It was about the realization of a model of a Kaelble tractor of the type K 415 Z. I had sent him pictures and drawings, but unfortunately such a model never appeared.
Kaelble K 415 Z, built in 1955, equipped with a 95 hp 4 cyl. Kaelble GN 115 V diesel engine. Transmission: ZF AK 6-55 with 6 gears. Wheelbase 2500 mm, overall length 4580 mm, width 2070 mm, height 2465 mm. Top speed 50 or 70 km/h. Gross trailer load: 24 t. This 1:24 scale tractor would go perfectly with Revell’s truck vintages. But even in 1:43 it would be a treat and would refresh the currently quite quiet area of trucks.
